The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic men's fraternal benefit society that was formed in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney to render financial aid to members and their families. Mutual aid and assistance are offered to sick, disabled and needy members and their families. Social and intellectual fellowship is promoted among members and their families through educational, charitable, religious, social welfare, war relief and public relief works.

Imagine being part of an organization that fills your heart and your mind with the joy of giving to others and the feeling that comes with making a difference. Knights are Catholic men, 18 years of age and older, who are committed to making their community a better place, while supporting their Church. Being a Knight is more than camaraderie; it is being involved with your community; it is supporting your local Catholic Church, while enhancing your own faith; it is about protecting and enhancing your family life.

Carroll C. Blair Council #13276 was chartered in spring 2003 and has grown to 50 Knights to serve St Mary's parish, the Downtown community, and the Diocese of West Tennessee. In our brief history, Council #13276 has earned Star Council, the highest award from the Supreme Council, and the Bishops Award, the top recognition from the State Council. Our members are active in parish life and the community, serving through events planned by our council, youth, family, community, church and vocations committees. Our goal is to strengthen our faith individually and collectively through service to the Mother Church, our parish, and to those that are in need in our community.
