St. Mary’s Catholic Church Soup Kitchen has been operating continuously for one hundred-thirty-six years! The soup kitchen serves the poor, the homeless, the less fortunate and the marginalized in our community. We serve more than 50,000 meals each year.
We are open six days a week, Monday thru Saturday and serve on an average day 150 people. We have picnic tables outside where they sit and listen to praise songs starting at 6:30A.M. At 7:30 coffee and cookies are served. Between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00am we administer with love, a meat sandwich, soup and a treat. For seconds, they can come back for all the peanut butter sandwiches they can eat.
If you are interested in becoming a Soup Kitchen Volunteer we are looking for people who can work one day a week or one day every other week, Monday thru Friday, from 7:15a.m. To 10:15a.m. We know you will find it to be a rewarding ministry and have fun along the way!
